Zoey travaille dur depuis des années pour devenir pilote, mais tout est déjoué quand elle hérite de manière inattendue d'une ferme de rennes ainsi que de la personne qui y travaille : Alec Wynn. Zoey ne sait pas trop comment s'occuper des rennes et de toutes les responsabilités qui vont avec, et elle ne sent pas vraiment Alec. Ce dernier a effectivement ses propres idées pour gérer au mieux les choses. Alec, qui n'a jamais eu beaucoup de gens qui lui faisaientconfiance, s'ouvre quand Zoey commence à se fier à lui. Très vite, ils commencent à tomber amoureux l'un de l'autre.
