Favolacce

C'era una volta una favola nera, ambientata nella periferia sud di Roma, tra la malinconica litoranea brutalmente costruita ed una campagna che è stata palude. Una piccola comunità di famiglie, i loro figli adolescenti, la scuola. Un mondo apparentemente normale dove silente cova il sadismo sottile dei padri, impercettibile ma inesorabile, la passività delle madri, l'indifferenza colpevole degli adulti. Ma soprattutto è la disperazione dei figli, diligenti e crudeli, incapaci di farsi ascoltare, che esplode in una rabbia sopita e scorre veloce verso la sconfitta di tutti.

In a small suburb on the outskirts of Rome, the cheerful heat of summer camouflages a stifling atmosphere of alienation. From a distance, the families seem normal, but it’s an illusion: in the houses, courtyards and gardens, silence shrouds the subtle sadism of the fathers, the passivity of the mothers and the guilty indifference of adults. But it’s the desperation and repressed rage of the children that will explode and cut through this grotesque façade, with devastating consequences for the entire community.
